As a first-generation American born to Indian parents, Yash Pratap Singh’s Cultural identity became complicated. He grew both closer to and apart from “American” and “Indian” cultures as he grew up singing both National anthems and going to churches and Hindu temples. His work deals with connection and disconnection between people and how the act of sharing of cultures is a part of fighting against social disparity.
